DEVLOG #1


Hi! First Devlog of the game! 

This Devlog will be dedicated to what is currently in the game and the features that I might add later. 

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is pretty simple, you are a square and you fight enemies with Guns and Melee Weapons. The enemies spawn by wave and each wave cleared adds you a point to the score. I might also add bosses. When you die, you go back to the main menu and start a new run. 

ITEMS

There are currently 4 types of items:

  • Movement Items - you gain movement speed
  • Health Items - you gain extra Max Health
  • Damage Items - you gain extra damage 
  • Attack Speed items - you shoot faster 

and a few items.  I might also add Life Steal items that let you gain hp (not max hp) depending on the damage you are dealing. 



WEAPONS

There are currently 7 weapons, here are a few of them: 


 Each weapon is defined by three variables:  attack speed, bullet speed and damage. I might add other properties if necessary. I am still unsure about how you will get weapons and items, probably in chests that will spawn at the end of each wave.

ENEMIES

At the moment, there are three types of enemies: triangles (default enemies), octagons (tanky enemies) and pentagons (low health high damage). 

IN GAME CURRENCIES

This is for the moment all hypothetic since the game is not at this stage yet, but during your runs, you might earn money that you will be able to spend in the menu to get upgrades and more. I liked the Dead Cells system of cells that you lost whenever you died. Anyways I will think about it and tell you how it's going later.


It is the end of the first DevLog, for the moment, the game is at a really early stage and still needs some improvements on many points. Please note that there are obviously more content in the game but that I won't tell you until it's fully done.
